That brilliant film starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson inspired millions to adopt a personal 'bucket list', and the term itself has become part of our everyday language.
My list is a compilation of the aspirations and challenges to the brittleness of life itself, and as such I have termed it a 'barrel list'.
The barrel will never empty; and thus what can be achieved will be up to the winds of fate and fortune.
Life has taken many twists and turns, and much water has passed beneath the bridges of time.

However much has gone before which may be of little interest to anyone other that the writer, for whom this record induces an occasional wry smile at what was, what wasn't, what could have been, or never was.
